The Tudors

Description:
On Monday 7th September, we watched two episodes of the Tudors, a historic series created by Michael Hirst about the reign of Henry VIII, King of England from 1491 to 1547. The series deals with our history and its different players melting politics with love.

Impressions:
First, we have seen the second episode of the first season. It talks about the meeting between the Henry VIII and Ann Boleyn's sister in France where the King has come to sign a treaty of perpetual peace.

Apart from the wrestling between the two kings : François 1er and  Henry VIII, there is no action in this episode and far too much politics, the only good point is the really good actors' performance, but a good playing with a bad production make a bad episode.

The second episode is the long one that deal with Anne Boleyn's death. Although we can feel each emotion by the really good acting, this episode is BORING, and it's end is ridiculous. With all the blood of the previous  scenes we could imagine that Ann Boleyn will be greatly beheaded. But not at all, she die too quickly and the death is not realistic at all.

My judgement is certainly affected by the fact that I'm not interested in history, and so all the things connected with history (like this series) bore me.
